This documentary profiles the journey of 4-time Olympic Medallist/Trinidad and Tobago Sports Ambassador Ato Boldon, who travelled on behalf of Cable News Channel 3, along with hundreds of other T&T football fans, to the Kingdom of Bahrain, to witness the FIFA World Cup Qualifier Playoff Game, in November of 2005. At stake was a place in the 2006 World Cup Finals.

"Once in a Lifetime" puts you in the middle of a momentous and sometimes even dangerous voyage, halfway around the world, where sporting history awaited Trinidad and Tobago, a nation robbed of an opportunity to play in the 1974 World Cup finals by a gross injustice, and then in 1989, when it fell one heartbreaking point short of qualifying for the Italy 1990 World Cup. For 16 years, the nation waited…

The wait is now over.

Trinidad and Tobago, in June of 2006, officially became the smallest country to ever appear in the FIFA World Cup.

Witness the historic final chapter of how they got there.

This is Trinbago history.

We should treasure it.

"Seldom have I been so captivated by a sporting DVD...and I have seen
thousands. In 'Once in a Lifetime - Boldon in Bahrain,' this former
brash-talking Olympic speedster, steps into a different lane but in what
must be new and unfamiliar territory, Ato quickly asserts himself, coming
off the blocks with a tribute to T&T's success in qualifying for the 2006
World Cup football finals in Germany, that will leave a thrill in the hearts
of its viewers but perhaps more importantly add the magic that is so
necessary in recording the moments that touch the soul of a people.
Ato has given us so much in the past, if I am to judge from this new
release, his tremendous contribution is far from over."

Valentino Singh, Sports Editor, Trinidad Guardian.
