Hi Ato, I just saw you on tech tv. It is always a pleasure to see you, whatever you are doing. I heard you mention that your greatest achievement was winning the bronze medal in the relay with Darryl and company. I think that your greatest achievement, at least the thing I admire most, is the way you represent Trinidad and Tobago in whatever you do. The medals are fine, but continue to represent us as proudly as you do and you will always have our support and love.

Hello Ato,
I saw you on the Call for Help program today. Congratulations on a wonderful carrer. I have been to Trinidad a few times to work outside of Port of Spain. The area we go to is ( I hope I spell this correctly) Chagaramas. I survey offshore for Fugro. We have an office there and work there quite often. I have spent a lot of time there as well as Port of Spain. It has been a while since I have been there but I am sure if the work comes up we will be heading back. I have had the oppurtunity to see a lot of the beautiful areas of your country and also meet a lot of your fellow countrymen.
Continue to shine

Hi Ato
Firstly I want to say hope you are fully recovered from your accident and I wish you the best. But I have to say that you really disappointed me. Now I know you are a human being and have bad days but last year at the Crystal Palace meeting in London, you were really unfriendly and very unapproachable. This disappointed me as I have been a big fan of yours for years now. But I hope you do come back strong and I hope my next meeting with you is more favourable!
Nuff Love

Ato,
number one, when u run dont think about all of ur fan, dont think about all of your money, bizzz etc...
when you will run, remember the first time you run when u were at your school, when you were running just for YOU, as a noble goal, you remember this feeling? when you felt in you mind and your soul and you legs while your running that you can catch the person before you in a race, you do it cause remember, you run against this 3 things: the time, the space, and the distance....

Hi ATO, this is a very sensitive fan of yours. You know how Trinibagonions are. I had to defend your achievements against some friends of mines, all of us are T&T nationals though. They say that you are not good...... but I asked them one question. Which runner in Olympic history mounted the 100 & 200 metres prize rostrum, and then repeated the same feat in the next Olympics? Their reply.....hmmmm Frankie Fredricks, Carl Lewis.......Great Olympians, you are great Ato. I always have to defend your achievements against a lot of Trinibagonions, and they don't know nothing about your achievements. I know you are great. You just have to get some rest, regroup and return with a bang for the next season.......... Just reflect on your 1998 year look at what you did and move on from there....... I know you will be scorching hott in 2003.... Also our 4x100 team ought to be getting GOLD in 2004. Ato, Brown, Burns, Rodriguez, Harper et al....... Best of luck in all your endeavours, and God bless.

My God,
I'd just read about the near death experience and wondered what could have happened. It was only as I was leaving the site that I actually read about the accident.
It is ironic that this would happen while Ato is at home rejuvenating his body and Spirit. No pun intended, but this is an actual passage, the leaving of the old and the birth of a new Spirit.
May you, through this occurence, find your path and succeed in fulfilling all that you were sent here to do Ato. It is not for you but for others, that you must leave a legacy. Clearly, your job here (on earth) is not done.
What happened to the taxi driver?
Perhaps, the government and people of Trinidad & Tobago would get serious about DUI, and traffic laws in particular.
Also, you could be instrumental in providing guidance in the presentation of our athletes and other public personalities.
Just a couple out of many thoughts.
I'm happy that you are still with us Ato. I am extremely proud of you and your accomplishments. My compliments to your parents who fostered your ambitions and support you. Oh, that through you and your family's example, others could see that
anything is possible through belief, work, and faith in God.
God's continued blessings to you.
JL-C.

After 10 straight years of college and professional school, I suggest that you go see a chiropractor as soon as possible to have your spine checked. Derek Parra and Dan O'Brian endorse chiropractic and so should you. It only makes sense. My wife and I live in Arizona where we own a large practice and help lots of people.

You can be the greatest if you want it bad enough. Forget the critics, haters, doubters and naysayers.
Once you get back to training with a vengence, get a lot of base work and train to beat your 19.77 PB everything will fall into place.
You are a GREAT sprinter.....period! You don't need to drop the 100m to win the 200m. You are great enough to do both. Don't let a few injury riddled seasons make you doubt your ability or potential
Historically your best 100m races have come when you were in peak 20om shape. Focus on the deuce but don't give up on the 100m. You still have that 100/200 double in you for Paris and Athens.
Work for it, pray for it, believe in it, declare it and DO IT!
