Looking around this area, tonight, I feel thankful and blessed to have fans who take time to reach out from literally every corner of the globe....not bad for a little skinny kid from Trinidad to have connected with so many....
I have just about closed my book deal so I'll start writing soon - wish me luck! It won't be a track book, although of course track will be in it - it will be a "life" book.

Trinidad & Tobago has a problem with athletes being eligable for a D1 college after the age of 21. joining a club or any athletic organization after high school can take away a year or so from your college career. The NCAA has strict rules against athletes taking part in meets while between college and high school. The problem is that athletes don't know how to get exposure besides being in a club and this messes up everything because of the rules of the NCAA. We have talented athletes who don't get exposure unless they join a club, find a way that we could do something about getting more exposure for them while in highschool or out of highschool. I never got the opportunity to express my potential, and never got it going. Im feeling Coach Smith's philosophy and I feel that that is where I belong.
