Don't you guys have anything else to do but to try to put words in a grown man's mouth? Ato has, since Usain Bolt came unto the scene, been only singing his praises.
So he has shares his opinion of the guy, one that he is certainly entitled to, and all of a sudden he is jealous?
All of a sudden he is selling out on people. Really?
Usain is a brilliant athlete but lets not get carried away here.

C'bean track athletes who beat 1st world competitors are often subjected to 'negativity' even from someone who should know better. Why not pursue positivism and encourage Costas to interview Bolt and other C'bean athletes at the Olympics? You both will get the truth to questions instead of resorting to subjective and disparaging comments.

Hi Ato,
I didn't realize I should address this to you directly. Sorry for the sappy message... but I mean every word of it. I was so impressed with you when you were in my class! Teachers love it when their students are so accomplished, even if they had little or nothing to do with it. Hope you remember some of your French though!
Bravo for all you've achieved. You’ve got your head on straight and deserve the best.

I had the pleasure of having Ato in my French class while he was at UCLA. He's not only fast at running, but a quick learner as well, and always so pleasant and polite. A dream student. I've been enjoying listening to him do the Olympics commentary, again doing an excellent job. Allez Ato!

I am enjoying your commentary during the Olympic games. Very insightful and very honest. I was at UCLA while you were there and had never seen anyone move so fast in person. Keep up the good work. I wish that Bolt would be a bit more refined and show more sportsmanship and less showboating. He is an awesome talent, but needs to show more maturity.

For the record, on the local channel in Jamaica, they also played the tape of the 2004 Olympics in Athens showing both athletes (Crawford & Gatlin) show boating almost at the end of the race just like Usain did in the 100 meter finals. And also, for the record, I've seen Tiger Woods pumped his chest with his fist after winning a few PGA championships. To say more, what about the NFL/AFL players who always demonstrate such an act of "show boating?" And lastly, what about the USA women's soccer final, when one of the players after, I believed, scored the last goal during the world's championship for the USA win, took of her jersey in a way of celebration?
You my friend are now on BLAST!!!

You are by far the best commentator on the events. You are in the know!

I went to high school with Ato at Piedmont Hills High in San Jose, CA for a year, I was in his english class and sat right next to him. We had some good laughs and he was always a great guy. I didn't care to much that he was a famous runner even though we all new it. "I am here to go to Stanford" he would say every chance he got. LOL. I was sitting here watching the Olympics and heard him and said "no way, it can't be". Sure enough! Wow. It's great that he has continued his success, tell him "Sprockets" and I say hi. Jason Zlatkus

Also, I can't wait to see the Olympics and hear you work the booth. It's always better when people who have competition experience (and know what they are talking about) commentate.
BTW, is it me, or does it seem like Obama supporters might have voted for Clinton had she clinched, yet bitter Clinton supporters might vote republican? Weird.
