started his season with a 9.8 time.
He runs two more 9.86's in
Europe, and a couple legal 9.9s for good measure.
He runs 3
races against friend and rival Maurice Greene, and wins 2 of them,
his only loss coming when Maurice breaks Donovan Bailey's world
record in the 100m dash.
Ato also runs a 19.86 200m dash which leads
the world for most of the year.
Then, a hamstring injury
strikes, and Ato's season, for the first time in his career, ends
prematurely due to injury.
